Tropika is an improved selection of Queensland Blue Couch. The benefits of Tropika is that it produces a very nice aesthetic Lawn that does not thatch up and recovers well from damage and scalping. Tropika forms a beautiful lawn that can tolerate a wide range of soil types from Sand to Clay and has great drought tolerance due to its deep root system and high tolerance to Queensland heat and humidity. It is a very good looking lawn with a green blue colour and is very soft to the touch.
It is not as shade tolerant as the Buffalo grasses however it is better than the Green Couches and the original QLD Blue Couch. Tropika also has an amazing root system that lets out a safe natural chemical that enables weeds from germinating.
