Aeration is a service Hanceys Turf offer to all sports fields, councils, golf courses and large areas. We have 2 large deep tyne Verti-drain aerators that are capable of doing 2 ha per day. These machines are driven by mid-sized tractors with high floatation turf tyres.
For optimum results and healthy, lush turf, your soil may need to be aerated. Aeration is essential on sporting surfaces and golf courses where the soil is squashed, preventing water from draining through the soil. Grass roots find it impossible to penetrate downwards, causing the grass to be surface hugging. The most effective approach for solving aeration challenges is verti-draining or compact relief. Verti-draining is a process where the soil is shattered and multiple fissures are created in the soil profile, thus allowing air into the soil.
